Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse
Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse is a program dedicated to helping victims of sexual violence and their families. Services provided to victims include 24 hour emergency and supportive services which are free of charge. All services are provided through the Region 8 Crime Victim Service Center for Whitman County. Education programs focus on increasing the understanding of, willingness to respond, and prevent sexual violence in the Pullman community.
Make-a-Wish Foundation
Every 38 minutes Make-a-Wish Foundation grants the wish of a child. Wishes are granted to children in the United States and it's territories who are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. We believe that a granted wish can be the hope and positive experience that will help children recover.

Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are aware of the poverty, suffering and loneliness present in communities. Our personalized involvement is present through tangible assistance to those in need. Assistance can be in the form of intervention, consultation, direct dollar or in-kind service. It is because of this relentless attitude we are able to reach out and help over 12 million people every year. No work of charity is foreign to the Society.
